Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Office Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our hotel front desk. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hospitality management. This role is vital in ensuring guest satisfaction, smooth check-in/check-out processes, and efficient front desk operations. Bilingual skills and hotel management experience are highly preferred to enhance guest relations and team coordination.
Duties
- Supervise front desk staff to ensure high standards of guest service and operational efficiency
- As directed will be assigned manager on duty tasks.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with tact and promptness
- Oversee reservation processes, including booking adjustments and cancellations
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, billing, and payments
- Train new staff members on hotel policies, phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and guest services protocols
- Assist with night audit procedures to ensure financial accuracy at the end of each shift
- Monitor front desk operations during shifts to uphold hospitality standards and resolve issues swiftly
Skills
- Marriott hotel experience preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and guest relations
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and proficiency with multi-line phone systems
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse guests effectively
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate team members
- Knowledge of hotel management software and reservation systems
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally during night shifts or busy periods
- Familiarity with resort or hotel environments is advantageous
