POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Recruiter plays a crucial role supporting the Human Resources department and our robust recruiting program. Serving as the initial point of contact with all applicants, the primary responsibilities are sourcing and scheduling candidates, as well as onboarding all new hires. This is a high-volume recruiting position, and the ideal candidate will bring a mix of experience and enthusiasm, as well as a passion for non-profits!
POSITION DETAILS:
Recruiting - including: Coordinating and participating in all Career Fairs, tabling events, and community recruiting opportunities. Management of all job requisitions within the HRIS system (Paycom.)
Onboarding - including: Serve as initial point of contact with all applicants. Prescreen applicants, schedule interviews. Track and support applicant through completion of the onboarding pre-requirements. Maintain contact with hiring managers regarding new hire status. Routine initial onboarding tasks, including adding new hire to company platforms (Safety Skills, Spillett, Benefits.)
Training - including: Ensure all employees are trained and in regulatory compliance with all pre-employment training requirements. Conduct & track completion of New Hire Orientation.
Compliance - including: Complete all I9 documentation. Oversee and track all pre-employment requirements including drug screening, fingerprinting, and background checks. Works closely with HR Compliance Coordinator to ensure all pre-employment and onboarding compliance requirements are met.
Additional Responsibilities: Management of the departmental emails. Assist with all ongoing HR Department audit needs.
Qualifications
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population and represent the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows professionally to the community.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and hiring managers, while reamining calm and professional.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications; familiarity with Paycom strongly preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years' relevant work experience, preferably in a non-profit environment, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Human Resources recruiting experience strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting for long periods of time. May occasionally be required to bend or kneel.
- Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment
- Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45 pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.
