QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have or be eligible for WV Professional Teaching Certificate in Math 05-AD; Proficient in written & verbal communications; Ability to communicate & work effectively with school administrators, school personnel, & parents; Demonstrates organization & management skills
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide explicit instruction in a one-to-one or small group setting to assist students in improving academic skills of a particular student or group of students to support regular classroom instruction. Works with school principal and classroom teachers to design and create intervention plans of learning aligned with regular classroom reading and math objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high quality instruction and performance support for students who are at-risk in Math as identified by the benchmark cut score data; Identify student's instructional strengths and weaknesses by administering assessments to guide instruction; Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, individual instruction, and reports for Title I to be submitted in a timely manner; Maintain and submit lesson plans and tutoring logs as required; Maintain and submit student records for attendance, participation, and progress as required; Submit progress reports to parents, school, and site coordinator.
SALARY:
$25.00 per hour.
