We are looking for an experienced Mailroom Operations Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the automotive industry, where you will play a critical role in managing mail operations and ensuring compliance with vendor service levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate data from third-party vendors to monitor compliance and performance ratings.
  • Partner with management to establish and maintain benchmarks for departmental objectives.
  • Oversee the handling of inbound and outbound mail, inter-company packages, and courier deliveries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Serve as a liaison between mail operations and extension buildings, facilitating communication and mail delivery.
  • Track and report mail operations expenditures to align with budget expectations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe and efficient mail practices while adhering to organizational goals.
  • Assist in the annual budget process and support monthly evaluations of vendor service levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support mail operations and organizational needs.• Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in mail operations or logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, detail-oriented relationships.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service skills to effectively address and resolve issues.
  • Capability to develop and execute plans using available resources.
