We are looking for an experienced Mailroom Operations Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the automotive industry, where you will play a critical role in managing mail operations and ensuring compliance with vendor service levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate data from third-party vendors to monitor compliance and performance ratings.
- Partner with management to establish and maintain benchmarks for departmental objectives.
- Oversee the handling of inbound and outbound mail, inter-company packages, and courier deliveries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison between mail operations and extension buildings, facilitating communication and mail delivery.
- Track and report mail operations expenditures to align with budget expectations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure safe and efficient mail practices while adhering to organizational goals.
- Assist in the annual budget process and support monthly evaluations of vendor service levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support mail operations and organizational needs.• Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in mail operations or logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong ability to collaborate across functions to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, detail-oriented relationships.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service skills to effectively address and resolve issues.
- Capability to develop and execute plans using available resources.
