We are seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance Officer with a strong background in federal government contracting to oversee and strengthen our compliance program. This individual will ensure that the company meets all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements while supporting ethical business practices and minimizing risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the corporate compliance program with a focus on FAR, DFARS, CPSR, CMMC, ITAR, and export control regulations.
- Ensure company policies and practices adhere to federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and all applicable government contracting requirements.
- Manage internal audits and risk assessments, addressing findings and ensuring corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary compliance advisor to executive leadership and operational teams.
- Oversee training programs to promote a culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, Contracts, and Security teams to ensure compliance with labor laws, cybersecurity, ethics, and reporting requirements.
- Lead investigations into compliance violations, ensuring timely reporting to government agencies when required.
- Monitor regulatory and contractual changes impacting the business and recommend proactive strategies.
- Act as point of contact with DCMA, DCAA, DOJ, and other oversight agencies.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reports to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the state of Virginia, MBA, or Master’s in Public Policy, Law, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of compliance experience, with at least 5 years in federal government contracting.
- Expert knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, CMMC, NIST, FCPA, and False Claims Act compliance.
- Proven experience interfacing with DCAA, DCMA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing compliance programs for government contractors.
- Active security clearance preferred, or ability to obtain one.
