Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Operate safely and efficiently – Drive log trucks in accordance with J.D. Irving, Limited’s Best Management Practices and legal requirements.
- Meet production targets – Maintain productivity and utilization goals while working independently in remote environments.
- Perform inspections – Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure cargo is secure and safe for transport.
- Collaborate with loaders – Work as a team with log loader operators to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Education – High School diploma required.
- Licensing – Valid Class 1 Driver’s License or equivalent.
- Experience – Truck driving and woods experience is an asset.
- Mechanical skills – General truck mechanical knowledge is considered an asset.
- Reliability – Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
