Job description includes but not limited to the following:
- general animal husbandry skills inluding feeding, watering, movement of animals; prepping and washing rooms; detection of illness as well as following our treatment protocols; maintaining environment within the barn; tagging and tattooing; piglet and sow care in farrowing; processing and vaccination of piglets; assisting in live births; fostering; shipping and receiving; recording data; follow all fiosecurity and company policies; other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years minimum experience in the hog industry; passion for animals; goal orientated, motivated and self-driven; ability to work well with others and to create a good team atmosphere; valid license and vehicle to get to and from work
